Painting Classes

Learn how to paint!

Safe, social distance-friendly classes can be via either FaceTime (Apple) or Zoom.

If you’ve always wanted to take a painting class but have never gotten around to it – or if you’ve avoided one of those group classes where your “tree” may give Charlie Brown something to brag about, you’re in luck!  Kim will get you started by teaching you about colors, textures, and different techniques instead of trying to get you to paint an actual subject.  Let’s focus on practical – and you’ll be able to take home a masterpiece that everyone will be envious of!  The canvas is wide open…let’s have some fun.

How do I get started?

Hit the “Request A Class” button and let Kim know if you have something specific in mind…or if this is just for fun (she’s down either way!)  She will call or email you within 24 hours to get any additional information and to set up a class time. She’ll discuss potential canvas ideas with you (some may even be FREE) and you can work out the details for the surface together. She will then plan the rest of the supplies based on the surface you select.

What do you need?

One week prior to the scheduled class, Kim will provide a budget-friendly list of everything you will need for class, as well as suggestions for where to find everything (she’ll email you links – but of course you can search on your own and find alternative brands if you wish!) Paint colors will be mixed so you can buy less paint and you will not need to buy expensive brushes! The biggest must-have is a surface/counter/table to work on, and sink nearby.

Initial calls will be over the phone, along with email correspondence; actual class time will be over FaceTime or Zoom (your choice).

How much will it cost?

We’ll work out a price once we determine the details.  A single class can be as low as $100 for one person. Group discounts are available, as well as a discount for a series of classes. It may take more than one class to learn the techniques you’d like to explore! Classes will be 1-2 hours, and you will need time to finish up, as well as drying time.

Tiling Classes

Tile anything to make the surface beautiful…and last forever!

Safe, social distance-friendly classes can be via either FaceTime (Apple) or Zoom.

Tile isn’t just for floors!  You can tile just about anything, as long as it’s a hard, flat surface. Often times, furniture surfaces get damaged from water (a plant sitting on it, for instance) or from wear and tear. Instead of getting rid of whatever it is…tile it!  You can fix up the rest of it, too, if needed – and all that will be planned the same time. Not only will your piece look new, it’ll be something you can be proud of because you fixed it yourself! And even better…the surface will be pretty indestructible for more wear and tear – or plants!

Square or surfaces with 90 degree angles are definitely easier to tile than circular or round surfaces, but we can always make it work! We’ll just need to be crafty about the tile you select.

How do you get started?

Hit the “Request A Class” button and give Kim the details for your project!  She will call or email you within 24 hours to get any additional information. She’ll also need photos of your project, plus dimensions, which you can email to her once she contacts you. Kim will then work with you to make a plan of action and set up a class time! Initial calls will be over the phone, along with email correspondence; actual class time will be over FaceTime or Zoom (your choice).

What do you need?

One week prior to the scheduled class, Kim will provide a list of everything you will need, as well as suggestions for where to find everything (she’ll email you links – but of course you can search on your own!) The biggest must-have is a sink nearby (you’ll need to mix/spread/clean up grout most likely) – and you may need to have access to a few tools, depending on what your piece requires. And the budget will depend mostly on you and what you pick out for tile!

How much will it cost?

We’ll work out a price once we determine the details.  A single session can be as low as $100, but you may need more than one session to finish your project (it definitely will require drying time)! Initial session will likely be 1-2 hours, and plan to work on the project in addition to the session.

Note: Funding may be available for furniture projects! This is something we will look into prior to your booking!

Furniture Classes

Reinvent Amazing!

Safe, social distance-friendly classes can be via either FaceTime (Apple) or Zoom.

Do you have a piece of furniture you can’t bear to get rid of, but it’s in need of some serious love?  Maybe you found something that you’d like to turn into a piece of furniture or a home decor item. Or maybe you have no clue where to start, but you know you’d love a (fill in the blank) in your living room…but you don’t want to fork out the money to buy it (plus making it and saving something from the landfill is way cooler!) This is the language we LOVE!

How do you get started?

Hit the “Request A Class” button and give Kim the details for your project!  She will call or email you within 24 hours to get any additional information. She’ll also need photos of your project (provided you have something to start with), plus dimensions and any other details. Kim will then work with you to make a plan of action! Initial calls will be over the phone, along with email correspondence; actual class time will be over FaceTime or Zoom (your choice).

If you’re starting at ground zero, no problem. Kim has connections and can assist you with finding the perfect (well, not yet) item(s) to get you going in the right direction.

What do you need?

One week prior to the scheduled class, Kim will provide a list of everything you will need, as well as suggestions for where to find everything. The biggest must-haves are access to tools and a sink nearby (you’ll need it for cleanup).

How much will it cost?

We’ll work out a price once we determine the details.  A single session can be as low as $100, but you may need more than one session to finish your project (it will most likely require drying time if paint is involved)! Initial session will likely be 1-2 hours, and plan to work on the project in addition to the session.

Note: Funding may be available for furniture projects! This is something we will look into prior to your booking!
